🐔A perfectly spicy dip
I came across this Nashville hot chicken dip and it sounded so good! First, I created it with breaded chicken tenders, which seems a very popular choice. I didn't care for the chunks of chicken tenders in it though, so I went with rotisserie chicken in this recipe instead. The rotisserie chicken is perfect! It makes this dip really easy to make, and it doesn't use up a whole chicken! So you have left overs for whatever you want!
This dip is perfect to serve for holidays or game nights. It goes well with pita chips, tortilla chips, or serve with your favourite crackers!

🥘Ingredients
Ingredient notes
- Cream cheese - make sure you use the block cream cheese, not the spreadable type. Block cream cheese is for baking and cooking.
- Hot sauce - I used Siracha hot sauce in this recipe. Use whichever hot sauce you prefer.
- Rotisserie chicken - You can use popcorn chicken or breaded chicken tenders too. Whichever chicken you prefer!
- Sour cream - Can also be substitute with plain yogurt.
🔪Instructions
To make this dip, beat cream cheese and sour cream until combined and there are no chunks of cream cheese left. Add hot sauce, honey, half of the green onions, garlic powder, paprika, and salt, and mix until combined.
Carefully fold in chicken and 1 cup of mozzarella, then transfer the dip to a large 8 inch serving bowl. Scatter the remaining ¼ cup mozzarella over the top of the dip. Cook dip for 20-23 minutes at 425°F (220°C), or until it's bubbling and hot throughout.
Place remining green onions and dill pickles on top of hot dip. Drizzle some more hot sauce overtop. Serve immediately with pita chips, tortilla chips, or your favourite crackers.

You can make the dip but don't add the mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and store in the refrigerator until the next day. Then add the mozzarella cheese and cook through.
I do not recommend freezing dips. They never thaw to the same consistency.
